Standing Against Gender-Based Violence: AYGF Supports the 16 Days of Activism

From November 25 to December 10, the world observes the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) a global campaign dedicated to raising awareness, preventing violence, and promoting gender equality. This initiative brings together governments, civil society organizations, and communities to stand against all forms of violence toward women and girls.

Why the 16 Days of Activism Matters
The 16 Days of Activism serves as a reminder of the urgent need to address gender-based violence. Each year, the campaign highlights key issues, encourages dialogue, and advocates for stronger protections for survivors. It is a call to action for individuals and communities to challenge harmful social norms and ensure safety, dignity, and equality for all.

AYGF’s Commitment
At AYGF, we are committed to raising awareness and promoting conversations that challenge gender-based violence and inequality. We believe that empowering communities to recognize, prevent, and speak out against abuse is essential for building safer and more equitable societies.

While AYGF may not have specific GBV programs, we stand in solidarity with survivors and support efforts to create environments where women and girls can thrive free from fear and violence. Through advocacy and awareness, we reaffirm our commitment to social justice and the protection of human rights.

Call to Action
We encourage youth, community leaders, and stakeholders, to join the movement, speak out against abuse, and contribute to a society where gender-based violence has no place. Together, we can drive meaningful change.
