Every year on December 3, the world observes the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), a day dedicated to promoting the rights, well-being, and full participation of persons with disabilities in society.
The 2025 theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” emphasizes the importance of creating inclusive communities where persons with disabilities can fully contribute to and benefit from social, economic, and cultural development.
Despite global progress, persons with disabilities often face barriers to education, employment, healthcare, and social participation. IDPD is a call to action to remove these barriers, challenge stereotypes, and promote equal opportunities for all.

Through our advocacy, AYGF emphasizes the importance of equity, inclusion, and community empowerment, reflecting this year’s theme of fostering disability-inclusive societies.
Call to Action
On this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we encourage communities, policymakers, and organizations to embrace inclusivity. By removing barriers and celebrating diversity, we ensure that persons with disabilities are recognized as integral members of society.
Inclusion is not just a principle; it is a necessity. AYGF remains dedicated to promoting equity, empowerment, and accessibility, reaffirming our commitment to a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
