AYGF has consistently demonstrated its unwavering commitment to humanity, extending vital support to vulnerable communities and providing life-saving assistance to victims of emergencies. At AYGF, we recognize the critical importance of acting swiftly and compassionately in times of crisis.

Through coordinated relief efforts, partnerships with stakeholders, and community-based interventions, we ensure that those affected by conflict, displacement, or disaster receive the care, protection, and resources they need to survive, recover, and rebuild their lives with dignity.

Our Approach
AYGF adopts a people-centered, rights-based approach to humanitarian response. We prioritize coordination, community engagement, and local ownership, ensuring that interventions are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and sustainable. Our work is guided by real-time data, conflict sensitivity, and strong collaboration with local actors and government agencies

Overall Objective
To safeguard lives and uphold human dignity by delivering essential humanitarian services to vulnerable populations, providing timely, reliable support to individuals and communities affected by insecurity, armed conflict, natural disasters, forced displacement, and other emergencies. This includes access to food, shelter, clean water, healthcare, psychosocial support, and protection services, ensuring that those most at risk receive the immediate and sustained assistance they need to recover and rebuild their lives.

Key activities

  1. Partnering with government agencies, NGOs, and international bodies to ensure coordinated and effective humanitarian interventions.
  2. Supporting communities to rebuild livelihoods, restore access to education and healthcare, and strengthen their capacity to withstand future crises.
  3. Mobilizing swift action in times of emergencies such as floods, conflict outbreaks, or public health emergencies.

Recent Response Highlight: Flood Relief in Zambia 2025

In early 2025, Lusaka Province experienced severe flooding caused by prolonged heavy rainfall, displacing hundreds of families in communities such as Chipata, Chaisa, Mandevu, and Kanyama. Many forced to evacuate and seek temporary shelter.

AYGF mobilized a timely humanitarian response to meet the urgent needs of displaced families. Relief packages included rice, mealie meal, cooking oil, soap, and other critical items to meet immediate needs.

The donation was made as part of a collaborative effort to support national disaster response initiatives, working closely with local authorities to ensure that aid reached the most vulnerable households. This effort reflects AYGF’s commitment to rapid, community-based humanitarian action during emergencies.

This intervention underscores AYGF’s regional presence and dedication to safeguarding lives, restoring dignity, and supporting recovery in the face of environmental disasters.
